It's tidy and pulls like a train.

Second gear wheel spin on the way home. Laughing

Forgive the crappy out of focus camera phone shot.

Dunlop sportsmarts, not down to the tyres really, more down to cold, slimey motorway and ambitious throttle application.

We must, I already have that on my policy though. Wink

More down to the fact that you said they had 20PSI in them! Wink

I'd like to try a bike with sportsmarts and see how they compare with the roadsmarts!

I've always wanted a 954 blade (that and an urban tiger). Almost bought one last year. They seem to be quite expensive/ hold their value though. The final nail was a box fresh 636 C6F came up for cheaper at the same time.

Just over 7k miles and £3.4k. Seems to be reasonable money for them. Saw a few in dealers for £3.1-3.2 with 30k on the clocks.

Was one with a "top end noise" from a dealer that looked like it was going for about £2.8k or so.

Tried to get the baffle out of the can today, undid the allen bolt and it came out about half way, then wouldn't budge. Seems to have a couple of prongs to stop it coming out of the outlet?

I'll whip the can off when I can be bothered and have a proper look. See if it needs to come out the other way. Not dealt with Micron baffles before.

You'll be fine!

I've had a blade for 4 years now and I usually ride like a bell end when in groups! Rolling Eyes Wink

If you can't be hassled with removing your baffle, I have a micron SS that you can have for postage? Don't really need it now that I have my remus, which evidently, despite being made out of titanium is heavier than the mircon SS and the stock aluminimum silencer for that matter!

Very good teutonic build quality, and the sound is very restrained.

Not sure if I can suggest you a mod really, but if and when your Reg/rec does go pop, replace it for a MOSTFET unit off an 09R1 - or on ebay. Blades are a bit prone to letting go of their alternators - 929's-04 1000RR's according to my local honda garage. Saying that, that's dependent on usage. You're unlikely to cover 12k miles per year, of which 60% of that is done between september and may -the bike's usually in the workshop during summer because that's when the major problems crop up!

Micron baffle just needs a bit of force behind it, get a good grip on it and give it an almighty tug and out she comes.

Also extends to the 05/55 plates too, brother in law has had 2 1000's 05 and 55, both shat their alternators.
