Anyone else get caught in that and had to navigate through Eltham ?

What a nightmare.

It was a fuel spillage, the road had to be closed so it could be cleaned up before it melted the tarmac.

Luckily i finished work a few hours earlier so was well away from the area before it happened.

I was lucky - I got out of the Olympic site at about half two and though the road was closed I managed to filter up the slip road and went round the back of Eltham. I can only imagine what havoc it caused later on.
