I've got a ZRX1100 (pretty sure you've seen it in the flesh too!) and love it. The owners club forum is full of useful info but they're a bit cliquey and old school and like formal introductions and all that.

There's a few ZRX threads on this board too:

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=213187&highlight=zrx1100

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=202416&highlight=zrx1100

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=229965&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=zrx1100&start=25

That I usually have to stick my oar in and go on about how goood they are Laughing They're cheap now too as the 1100's are getting old but they're usualy owned be older people who look after them.

I've signed up on the Owners Club ( same username ) and for once I've formally introduced myself rather than just barging into a thread... Thumbs Up

Get yourself a a set of ZZR cams, when you decide to tune it makes a large difference.

With a full exhaust system, ZZR cams and pod filters you can get around 130bhp from the 1100 and comes in at about £300 if you fit it all yourself. I've not done it to mine (yet) but I ddefinitelywant to do it. I have neglected mine an awful lot though and being outside for 4 winters with almost zero maintenance means I have a bit of a list of other things to sort out first Sad It's mainly cleaning and cosmetic stuff though.

I'm hoping to get £2000ish for the SV so I'm hoping I can find a good one for around £2500 as I'm looking for a bike that I wont want or need to change for a good while, so long as they're good for commuting/weekend blasts and rallies I'll be happy...

Haven't owned one but I've ridden both stock and tweaked, plus my own bike was a very similar motor. For such an in your face look the stock bike feels lardy as hell on the throttle response, most people decide to tinker with them inside a year or two. It's not hard to do and makes a very noticeable difference. It's not so much about the power gains, more about delivery.
