Honda rs 125- 1987 yamaha tzr 125

Hey guys, im just wondering if anyone can give me any hints and tip son this, and if it has been done before, i may have a project for myself to do soon, i have a 1987 yamaha tzr 125, deltabox frame, i was just thinking about putting race fairigs onto it, but not tzr ones, i had a look at the honda rs 125 fairings, and they look the part! so im hoping someone can help mee, i looked at the 2006 rs 125 fairings and they seem to look like they will fit the tzr, only thing i would need to do, is modify the subframe for the tail unit, and maybe somehow adjust/make some brackets for the front fairing, just to get it lined up perfect, wouldnt want it too close on the nose cone to the clocks or too far away from the clocks, so if anyone can help me what year honda fairings should i go for to fit the 1987 tzr 125? cheers everyone, i will try to get some pictures up of my tzr, and of the rs i have found, cheers guys

Hi

The RS125 Honda is a tiny bike in comparison to the TZR. I would be surprised if the fairings would physically fit over the frame and engine of the TZR without a lot of modification.

Like Keith says, if you allign the mount holes on the RS then look at the TZR they're quite different, as is the bikes overall size.

What is it about the RS that's appealing, just the modern style fairings?

thanks guys, well i was just going to go for the gp styled look but a little bit more modern, thankyou for the replies, im not sure what to do with it at the moment, its either streetfighter it or to make it look a real gp styed race bike what do you guys think? cheers

okay kieth cheers i may just keep it standard for now, maybe put on a micron exhaust, because i need to get an exhaust for mine, i also need a rad, do you know any bike breakers that deal in bikes like these? cheers mate

Hi

Finding a Micron might be difficult these days. A radiator is probably easiest found on Ebay, but depending on why it needs replacing it might be possible to get it repaired (there are people around who will recore a radiator).
