Got around to doing a nice ol oil change on the WR250F (06) and thought id look to see whether the 'free mods' had been done on it.

Checked the airbox, and the snorkle was removed, so, check.

Checked the throttle stop screw, definitely shorter than stock 33mm, check.

Looked to see if they grey wire had been removed and taped over, and upon disassembly found that instead of just doing the recommneded removal method of just taking it out of the block and taping it up, it had been removed from the block and now connected to a black wire? Confused

This black wire was coupled with a red one and they both disappeared into the mass of wires known as the loom.

Anyone know whether it should be like that?

Bike runs mint, does rev out nicely but havent ever heard it hit the limiter. Not sure if this is cause i dont generally rev that high out of it, or whether the grey wire is still restricting it?

Ideas? Very Happy

having thought about it dude it may just be taped to this wire just to stop it flapping about
Check the wiring diagram to find out what the red and black wires are, might give you an idea as to what it is they do, and whether or not it is of any relevance to the grey wire.
Like i say, it may just be to stop it flapping about, un-tape it and have a look? If its not splined into the other ones, which is unlikely; then it is doing nothing but being held against it cause they'll be no connection.
I'd text you but its' always nice to see a reply on here XD
