DID Chain Confusion

Hello,

I've ordered a new DID VM chain, what I got is a Gold and Black DID VX2 chain. A quick bit of Googling suggests the VX2 is either a replacement for or a renamed VM.

A look on the DID site shows no hint of a VX2 chain and an email to DID has not been replied to yet.

Does anyone know if they're the same chains and if the VM and VX2 master links are interchangeable?

As long as the pitch are the same, guessing 520 on your XT and both are X-rings l cant see there being a diffrence.

Although the VM and VX2 aren't mentioned specifically it seems that DID claim that lots of chains that have been replaced by newer or different versions don't have interchangeable masterlinks.

Wouldn't it just be simpler to phone whoever sold you the chain and ask for advice or a refund.

VX2 is the new version of the VM chain.

I buy all of my chains for all of my bikes from https://www.bandcexpress.co.uk/chain.html and have always had excellent service and response from them.If you need any questions answered send them an email or a phone call and I am sure that you will get the right answer.
