So, went along to the St John's first aid course (see https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=31346 ) this morning.

Got there nice and early and the car park was still locked with a few bikes waiting outside. Anyway after a short wait the woman who was to be our instructor turned up and lets us into the car park. However there was a small problem, she'd forgotten the keys to the building itself.

So, we all hang around in the carpark for a bit while she phones up to get a key from head office. We do a bit of introductory chatting. A key turns up - it isn't the right one, a bit more chatting and then after she's made a few more calls on her mobile the woman explains that nobody can find a spare key. Rolling Eyes

We take an informal vote as to whether to do part of the course in the car park or reschedule. We choose reschedule and I head off home.

What a waste of a morning! But at least I can now watch the live Arsenal v Bolton match on the telly. (I've got a tenner on Bolton to beat Arsenal at 15-1 - I expect I've lost my money).

But look on the bright side at least other people who wanted to go but could can now as they are rescheduling for about a months time. As I believe there were spaces on the course.

So if you others want to book up nows the time

Man, you should come to the BCF Herts razz out today. We'll be meeting up at the Park St demolished BP garage in about 1 1/2 hrs time. Shame about the first aid course though, but it's cool that they got it rescheduled.

I had them to draw in my footy bet at 4-1 Smile but other teams let me down. Ah well, made profit (just).

Don't know what bookies you use, but you could have got 6-1 the draw on Betfair.

I would be quite interested in going, but was a bit too busy this weekend.

Put a post up, if you don't mind, when you have details of when it will be postponed to.
