I got a small problem with my cbr125 where it seems to be quite hard too push before i ride it. However once i have been for a bit of a ride it seems to go away quite a bit.
What do you guys think would be causing this and what should i check?

Thanks. Thumbs Up

I would suggest that your brake caliper (or calipers if you've got two) are sticking due to salt corrosion.

+1 on the sticking/seized caliper.Strip out the pads to confirm. Then push the bike around.Otherwise it could be a seized wheel bearing.

Both are easy jobs to fix.

Brake Calliper pistons sticking.
Leave the pistons pushed out.
Remove pads
Get into the piston area with brake cleaner spray and a toothbrush.
Push the pistons back in and refit pads (with copper-slip on the back)
If it's no better you may need to remove the pistons and re-seal.
Not an impossible job. Big bit of cardboard box on a bench/kitchen table and keep everything clean...
Lubricate all new seals using brake fluid as oil will shag them in a minute or two.

Sorry to hop in just to repeat something, but it's something easily done in the rush to start cleaning. ( Embarassed )

You don't want to push back a dirty piston into the calliper before you've cleaned and given it a once over for pitting.

Most likely binding brakes, but also check your tyre pressures. Soft tyres that firm up with some heat in them could be contributing.

Front caliper. On every single one of the CBRs in my sig...all have had a crap front caliper.

Best thing to do is strip it and get new seals, clean the whole caliper and grease the pins big time. Thumbs Up
