Hi

Half the life for a clutch and twice the price to replace.

All the best

surely they ant using these on bikes??

the theroy of them is fairly sound, but adding the extra parts for the sake of having the best of both worlds is just dumb in my opinion.

jst have a heavier flywheel, and live with the slightly slower acceleration,
a cush drive does the same thing on a bike to certain degree

when it goes just fit a solid flywheel kit

Know a few that have gone this route and not regretted it as such- but they have noticed a slight difference that they can live with (maybe just all in the mind?)

Nice idea but poorly executed and overpriced
They need to sort out the teething troubles from the short lives they seem to last - should be an item designed for the life of the vehicle at that sort of cost and not seen as a service item - IMHO borderline not fit for purpose?

None of my vehicles have them and it WOULD put me off buying one

Regards
Rob

Beyond providing some smoothing out of the engine on the gearbox I am not sure what their purpose is. Given the limited amount that the parts of the flywheel can move independently I can't see how it would make a measurable difference to acceleration.

All the best
