No idea what the thoughts here are on Danny John Jules and Steve Keys, but they have a competition going that they are tweeting about to ride with them 1000 miles on a YBR to a Moto GP.

"To enter you must not hold a motorcycle licence. All entrants will need to take a free ride experience at their local motorcycle training centre in conjunction with the Get-On Campaign.
After telling us why you think you'd make an ideal travelling companion to Danny and Steve, six people will be selected to go on and do their Compulsory Basic Training.
The final stage in the selection process sees the six being whittled down to three and they will take their full test. To add to the pressure they will then have to make a plea to a panel including Danny, Steve and a guest judge as to why they're cool enough to join the ride. No bribes accepted, but you can always try the rest of the crew... The winner will then go on to take their full test and be given all relevant training. "

Now its quite lame. Thanks for telling most people to fuck off from your competetion.. and expecting someone with no experience to ride across europe . (Not directed at you Nai obviously )

I don't even think UK provisional L platers are allowed to ride abroad. Is the winner forced to do the bike test before going? If so, doesn't it rather defeat the point if after all the hassle of passing they take 125s?


Also - who are those people? One looks like Cat from red dwarf. No idea on the other.

Can still point anyone ya know whos thinking about gettin a motorbike involved. Thats a good kick start into the world of motorbikes! (And you can snaffle one of the 2 tickets off them for bein their best mate and getting them into the competition )
