Does a bird shit in the woods
Confused

Yes

On a side note, This year, although not troublesome to myself regarding weather conditions, I would really like some Sun. However, that won't come for at least another month Wink

I think we've had frost once this winter - which was the one day I chose to ride (and quickly regretted.) Back on two wheels and it's just a little nippy, which it was around summer for the most part. I'm actually glad this winter is mild.

Don't mind the cold TOO much, but the frost/wet is just tedious.
The only upside I think is I feel a better rider when i successfully manage to get through a really rough day.
As much as the hot sunny weather is preferable, your ability is tested in those mega gusty days being blown across the motorway, anyone can ride in the dry & sun

To be honest, the winter this year has been pretty easy. This time last year it was -15 up here Shocked

I'm glad of the mildness which is allowing me to get out on the bike and gain experience.

I passed my mod 2 end of August so not even had much good weather to enjoy i'm using my bike every day everyday now so i'm used to the crap weather and reckon it's doing my skills some good doing all my riding in the wet.

Can't wait for the winter to be over and go for a long ride in the hot sun! Smile

Pft, it's been pretty mild this winter. Got out in the leathers in the first week of the year and wasn't cold.

It's been so mild darn sarf that we're actually teetering on having the first drought winter since records began...the lack of rain fall this winter is so bad our reserves are drying up. Rolling Eyes

It's been so warm that so many plants and flowers have been sprouting early, and the 'shrooms were as late arriving as end of November/early December!!!

I've not even worn my winter parka this winter...not once. Exclamation

I tucked my bike away at my parents house and pulled all the fairings etc off on Xmas eve for its full winter service and have been regretting it all month seeing all the other bikes still on the roads. Need to pull my finger out and get the bugger back together!

It's been a really mild winter so far. Scotland had a few bouts of wind and snow but not for long and the South of the UK has been pretty good. Had about 10 icy mornings, just had to take it easy. Compared to last year where there was about 3 weeks of snow on the ground, it's been pretty good.

Its been fine so far, only a few really cold days and no unridable days here.

I wear textiles all the time, so i couldn't care less about doning a leather suit.

Just got my heated grips fixed so i'm all set.

I'll agree with the other comments about the mild winter we've had this year. In fact I'm VERY glad that this year has been exceptionally mild compared to last year.

I'd purchased my varadero in September 2010 and I braved the entire super-frozen winter nastiness everyday.

My 2nd 125, first ride in the snow, first ride having to clear my visor of frost every 3 miles, had all taught me a LOT about riding in treacherous conditions.

But, fuck yes! Bring on the spring. But, more so, bring on those warm summer evenings!

Can't wait for dry roads and a bit of sun.

Considering I only passed my CBT a few weeks ago, and I've been riding practically every day for work, I've experienced wind that I could lean 45 degrees in and still go straight, ice, and standing water on the roads. Not the best conditions for a "newbie" but apart from one wobbly moment where I forgot the manhole cover in the middle of a corner, not had any problem.

This winter has been fine though for a "winter". Haven't seen it get below -2 or -3, no snow to speak of in Sheffield.

Last year was a nightmare, my car was buried bonnet-deep for 10 days, and I kid you not it was -20 one day walking into work. The hangar at work dropped to -30 because the oil heating wasn't working. Resulted in all the pipes bursting, but nobody really noticed until a week later when they finally thawed out and flooded the place.

Glad we haven't had another one of them, cos that was just not weather I could cope with

Winters been warm this year. Theres Daffs already growing on the way into town. We've had 2 frosts down here that I can recall and no more. By this time last year much of the UK was under a good few inches of snow, this year we had 2 snow flakes and if you blinked you missed them.

Winter? What winter, we've had a prolonged Autumn is all!

Wearing my winter gear, but thats because I'm a soft tart and don't wear Leathers unless its above 20 degrees Celcius and even then i have a Fleece over the top.

Having a fantastic time this winter, had one or two icy days and one day with a light dusting of snow up here in Bolton. But other than that its been very mild, windy and wet.

But roll on spring for me Smile

Depressingly damp winter here in Norfolk. We haven't had any snow or ice, just a perpetual state of dampness everywhere. Everything is soggy 24hours a day. The poor little triumph exhausts have rotten through at the front. I don't think she's going to last much longer before I have to pull it off the road. I've just got to wait until I know there is no risk of gritters spreading their insta-rust powder all over the roads and I can start using the ZX9R I bought last weekend!

The only thing that grinds my gears is my jeans getting soaked but that is just British weather and not just for winter so I'm not that bothered.
