I think it's very cheap. Not so cheap as to be totally unbelievable but it's a very keen price indeed if it's all what it says it is.

I've seen similar age and mileage for £3-400 more.

I also think the advert seems VERY rushed and with little thought put into it. Almost like they are in a rush to get rid of it. Why?

It'll need a new pair of tyres before long so factor £150 into the price. The mileage is low, and I'm pretty sure it's genuine. It's probably worth the asking price but I wouldn't pay more than about £800, the Suzuki GS500 is respectable enough but it's just a bog-standard commuter/budget motorcycle.

I've seen them advertised around the same price; that one does look like a good deal but I reckon it'll want £200 - £300 spending on it over the next 12 months. It's cheap but it's not the first I've seen for that price.

ive considered the tires Neutral and theyre about £60 each, also, ive gotta get restrictors fitted...as well as having it maintained.

Might even have it resprayed o.O.

Anyway,

some guy is selling a 2003/53 plate GS500. he wants £400.

I would go down to have a look, but i think its a scam too far away.

If you do go, say you and a mechanic mate want to give it a good looking over before you part with the cash and before you set off ask the bloke if there is anything you should know about it before you do. This often pricks a concience...

Price isn't that far off. I paid £875 for my K1 last year, with almost-new rubber on it. Heated grips too. Mine had 23k on it IIRC.

Ive been bidding on an 03 gs500 today but with 20k miles (i lost Mr. Green ) and that ended up going for £1089, so if the miles are genuine, and the bike is in good nick, id say that's a reasonable price.

My brother got his 02 gs for just under £900 with similar mileage to that (y)
