It's been very windy over the last few days. Are you sure that the cover didn't just blow away?

buy one of those remote alarms, wait for them to strike, and then set it off. Then just sit back and enjoy watching them shit themselves.

Don't wish to make you paranoid, but when my bike cover got nicked, 2 weeks later the whole bike got nicked, even though I got a new cover the very next day! I reckon they were checking it out the first time, and came back to finish the job, so watch out! Crying or Very sad

One of my mates had his cover stolen yesterday too. As if thats not bad enough in itself, it's his old (SORN'd) 125 which he no longer rides as he has a bigger bike, doesn't have a garage or drive to put it on so he has to go hide it somewhere before it gets picked up by an ANPR police car.

Yes, a common prelude to your bike being nicked - now they can come back and look a little less dodgy, etc.

I had my previous cover knicked from me, as some of the other guys have said - make sure you keep and eye on your bike until you get another cover for it. I went out and bought an Oxford Rainex one, pretty good cover, and it has lock loops so you can actually secure it to your bike.

Those bastards WILL steal anything that isn't physically nailed to the floor, and even if it is, they will give it a damn good try.

thanks for all the replies, yes its getting rather worrying that the bike could be next. I recently spent the last 3 month rebuilding it from the last theft Sad

its chained to a lampost, but with the bike being the only one in the area at the moment doesn't really help

the romanians cut our rubbish bags open with stanley knife blades looking for clothing, and take any bags of clothes left out for charity, might be due to a place down on one of the trading estates that pays 50p a kilo for clothes........
