Powder Coaters I use in Brum are wheel specialists; they reckon that hey can colour match pretty well, probably 2/3 of auto-paints, and do a lot of cruiser-customs wheels.
I'd give some powder coaters a yell, see what they say, before dismissing the idea.
Think on that bike, in that scheme, though, you have to stick with the original body match.
If you do them black, you are going to want to start doing the frame and shiney bits to match... do them silver to match the shiney bits and I think they', stand out too much..... start polishing and you'll never ride the thing again! ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!
Current Bikes:'Honda VF1000F' ;'CB750F2N' ;'CB125TD ( 6 3 of em!)'; 'Montesa Cota 248'. Learner FAQ's:= 'U want to Ride a Motorbike! Where Do U start?' |

I'm not the polishing type, that was the bike when I bought it, and it hasn't been cleaned yet.
I was thinking black, but as you say, it's very tempting to do the whole lot! ____________________ You ain't a has been if you never was |

Why not as paddy says go for the engine colour? I'll see if I can get a photshop done!
Edit: Only took a couple of mins but you get the idea, and I prefer the colour of the rear wheel, front is to bright.

I didn't think that'd work but it does.
Personally, I'd either do that or match the frame. |
