Hi guys,

So driving back from work today it all started when i went to start the bike, It wouldn't turn over.. nothing at all. So i turned the ignition on and off a couple of times and jiggled the handle bars, okay it start result.

Came to a round about in 4th doing about 40 slowing down changed down from 4th to 1st all at once without releasing the clutch, when i released the clutch again there was no drive.. i thought i might have caught neutral so pulled in clutch and mashed down on the selector, defiantly in 1st but still no drive.

checked that the clutch cable was intact and that the gear selector wasn't broken either and they were both ok.
So i pushed it onto a side road and called the local bike shop, less than 10 minuets he was there to pick me and my bike up.

He cant look at it until tomorrow i asked him and he says he it could be little or it could be a lot... which is not good.

also I've lost my neutral light, but thats been coming and going recently :l
So do you guys have any idea? will it be expensive? Sad

As the bike shop have said, could be little could be a lot.

Did you try selecting any other gears? Could be a shift fork, could be selector mechanism, could be a truly fucked up transmission,

Only time will tell if there was nothing obvious.

Hi

By no drive do you mean no power AND no engine braking (as though you were in neutral), or just no power.

If no power and the engine is just not running then my first guess would be the side stand switch.

All the best

Keith

:karma: hi dude,

where is the bike now?? in the garage?? or at home
???

see manual for your bike on this site and print the bugger off!!

may be just stuck tween gears ( can happen, rock back and forth whilst tryin to select gear , or in workshop with relevant cover removed so u can rotate crank and wheel and try again )

or

you said neutral light playing up for some time, may be jammed on this switch perhaps??????........

feedback please.

Side stand switch and clutch switch.

Unsure if you have the clutch switch on that model, mine didn't.

Side stand switch is prone to being gay and not working ever.
The 250's had an issue with the clutch basket doing something rather fantastic and just stopped working mid ride, unsure if it affects the 125s.

No engine braking would suggest clutch is pulled in... you could have the dodgy basket thing (unsure what it is, something to do with a bearing and it shitting itself.)
