I am still looking for a pair or trousers that i can wear on the bike and during the day night about the town / house etc. so no need to keep changing.

Any suggestions I was looking at camo style trousers however not so keen on the camo print if that makes sense however i am 40 this year so if it is camo print so be it who cares what people say!!!!!!

Was looking i guess at textiles with protection and removable quilted inners for winter / summer

Anyone have any experience in these or offer an alternative

I've got some dragging jeans, they look like a nice pair of jeans would. they've got some hip protection, knee protection and they're quite heavily lined with kevlar internally.

I occasionally use them about town but generally dont use them for long trips. Certainly worth a go though.

Watch this, its a good review of the jeans

Also, bear in mind you will probably get quite hot if you are dancing or something in these jeans, I suspect kevlar is an extremely good insulator.

pffft... Wimp. Get some normal textiles (you know, the ones that are basically a sauna for your legs) and whip them off at every opportunity. I love getting to uni, wandering down to the lockers and then whipping my kecks off, thus making any girl in the vicinity blush (I hasten to add my jeans underneath stay on).

This is the plan for my new bike (1250 with luggage). I can easily store all my leathers, boots, lid and still have space, so if I go somewhere for a warm day out, tshirt and shorts under my gear, strip it off, store it and wonder about.

Can't quite fit both mine and the other halfs gear in though, but thinking with the chain lock, we could get boots/bottoms in the bike and chain jackets/lid to the bike if it's in an okish area.

I have some Sarto Kevlar jeans, never found them too warm, but they are quite baggy...
