I'm starting to slow update my gear, bearing in mind most of this stuff was bought back in '07 after I crashed the NS into a car which forced 'real protection'.
I'm gonna list what I have, and probably update later as and when i replace the items.
So, as it stands:
Clothing:
Knox waterproof undershirt.
This does what it says on the tin, it was £30RRP at NEC, credit due to Stelmer because he spent so much at the stall I got this about half price.
It was this one, in white:

and I can honestly say it's amazing. It's breathable so you can sweat and it's dispersed keeping you dry, I've actually stood at work before and soaked myself washing stuff when it's rolled off and left colleauges bemused. Yes, it's that good I wear it when I feel I need to irrespective of the bike.
There was some advice tag thing when I got it advising to wash it inside out then iron it to keep all the 'special stuff' in the fabric alive and active but tbh I've treat like a normal T-shirt and it's done the same job. Il post a Youtube vid later.
I have a J&S 2piece; that's red costing £40 (again, NEC flood tat from Donny depot they wanted rid of)
The actual leathers were brand new and real hassle to get into, I didn't actually try them for size at the time, just made sure the sizes matched what i usually take.
As it happened it was a good fit and it's snug but tight so I get a real 'creak' moving limbs on the bike and after a while I get a serious itch to move about but I do feel really cucooned inside it. I have come off in them once or twice in slow spills and scuffed here and there - no worries and held out like a boss.
top part of it:

Boots:
I have only owned 1 set since I started road-bound riding, they've been thrugh every major incident I've had and I've used them working the car too - due to warm and ankle support.
They're Nitro NB10s and I'm actually not sure where they're from.
I do know that over the last week or so when it rained I'm sure I felt water inside the right boot, this is yet to be checked out but on the whole they're solid and comfortable. They don't have any obvious structural parts just some rubber/plastic lined with cotton but that hasn't made them cave in under pressure, my legs are safe now because these have held their own in the past. Think il be looking at Sidi's next because these have an ankle zip which is covered by a flap that's secured by velcro yet always sticks out so it's not flush - and I wear jeans over them so it gives 'em a flared look; not ideal.

I'm going to list a few more things soon enough. ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Get some better happy pills, hit the gym & buy a medallion the size of a dinner plate. Job done |
