Suzuki , Yamaha and Honda are the three best makes for purchasing a first bike I would say, they are all reliable however when dealing with the three main makes you still have to be weary the bike is in good condition but yes they are a good bike.

I believe that Suzuki never imported it officially, but that's not really a big deal with parts readily available from WeMoto and elsewhere. Get some insurance quotes on it before you dive in though.

I hired one of these for a weekend before I got my YBR, absolutely loved it and would have brought one if I could have found them to buy!

I think they are made for the asian market an as such not on general sale in the UK, if you can find a nice one and parts etc seem readily available I'd say go for it, might be a bit cheaper than a YBR or the like too.

I did my test & training on one of these. It was OK if completely unremarkable, certainly no faster than the Korean scooter I was riding at the time. Ideal for passing your test on, then Very Happy

Chatting to the guy who ran the riding school, he told me that they had four of them & they'd been no bother beyond regular servicing (and patching them up when dropped, of course) and he'd recommend them. He also told me than the EN was only ever sold here as a grey import but that they'd never had any bother getting parts. HTH Thumbs Up

I own one, it's spot on - comfy, easy to ride. Has a gear display so you know what gear you're in (handy for learners). Mine has the headlight fairing (some don't) so it's looks a bit nicer than your bog standard YBR or CG. Plenty of spares on ebay. They seem to command a lower price than the YBR's & CG's which is a bonus - I paid £700 for mine with no MOT but it flew through no probs.

Also owned one, think I was the seventh owner, and it had been through the wars, but served well enough to get me through mod1+2. Pretty basic mechancal wise, as long as you don't mind having a go.

+1 was my first bike and did its job well, had it for only a few months but did not have to spend a penny on it in that time (5/6 years old).
As mentioned it wasn't officially imported as the en but I think suzuki released in the uk a year or two ago as the gsx125.

I did my CBT on an EN125 it seemed great for a 125.

they where also on my list of first bikes along with YBR and CG and I think you can trust the Suzuki name generally but be sure to carefully check over any you see.

I hope something comes up soon, but in the meantime do your homework and make sure you know what faults to look for and you know what your buying / riding.

Thumbs Up
