Hey guys; I know its a Saturday and your all really busy.
But I was hoping you would help with my research;

I've had to re-think my research strategy after it turns out you need a good few years to cut through all the red tape to physically set foot into a school.

Im working on a new type of school desk, but to help me I want to see what your's was like in school, or what you think it should have been.

So could you doodle, sketch (by hand or by digital means), or even put in writing things about your desk, or what your ideal desk would have been (I dont care if you put made out of chocolate). And email it to me at: Aaikman@dundee.ac.uk or post it up here.

As always;

No I am not profiting from this - It is purely for educational purposes. However if my final design is chosen it could lead to production. If you do not wish for your material to be published (Via my online blog) please say so and it will not be.

I thought this one would be a bit more fun than filling out goddamn surveys Karma

The ones we had were just melamine with square metal legs and frames, that sit two people. The science room had tall wooden benches.

My favourite desk were those in my primary and middle schools :-

Lift the top, all your stuff was in one place. All facing the front, none of that touchy-feely "everyone's a winner so let's make the exams easier" groups of tables.

In Upper school, my favourite desk was the flip top drafting tables - plain on one side, but pull a catch and flip it over, it was a drafting table :-
