what is it with people selling parts that are not even designed to fit the bike!

I recently bought an ignition coil for my H100S2 yet all the ones on ebay are wrong!!!!!!

Only the 2nd hand ones are right which is what I don't want!

More cost in sending back and more hassle!!!!

Grrr!

the new coil is twice the size and has two mounting holes.

The original is smaller and only has one hole.

ebay thinks its ok for the buyer to pay the return postage?! I thought under the DSR regulations the seller is responsible for postage

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Ignition-HT-Coil-Honda-H100-80-93-/190614541657?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2c61831559#ht_1485wt_1037

and what it should really look like:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-H100S-H-100S-100-S-1988-Onwards-Ignition-Coil-/370387405771?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item563ccf4bcb#ht_500wt_1287

And I don't want buy a 2nd hand one, whats annoying is the advert says "to fit the bike in the title" - well it doesn't

I've been having a lot of trouble with coils recently; the replacements I bought for the GS were initially the wrong size, then the wrong rating, then the wrong size and rating; I've finally gotten a set that fit and are the right rating, but they're for an early GSXR. It's a pain that the only specs that people tend to list are the physical dimensions, as opposed to the electrical ratings, which is what's important.

You don't have to pay return postage. You only have to look after the goods and make sure they're available from your address:
https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2000/2334/regulation/17/made
https://www.out-law.com/page-430#Return

Up to you whether the effort of fighting and waiting in for a collection is worth the £1.95 though.
