As above.
The bike as it stands needs a few things.
e.g piston and rings (as compression is not the best) front wheel spindle , rad cap and a handle bar grip.

I've no real idea what the bikes worth but they seem to sell for a good price. If you'd like the bike pm me.

I'm thinking of selling it as is or just get it going then sell it.
Would breaking the bike for spares be a good way of getting back what I paid for it?

The bike is reasonably tidy and has some spare plastics.
Will get up some pictures of the beast soon.

So you just bought it to sell it??

No to piss on your parade but how much did you buy it for? I sold my WR450 '04 for £1200 and my YZ125 '06 for £1300 (the bike was like new and I had spent shit loads on it over the years)

them ktm's seem to be worth a fair bit more than the yammys, well thats the conclusion i found when searching to buy myself a bike.

And to even sell your WR and YZ for so cheap is crazy, ive got a 06 WR250F at the moment which i bought for £1400, and the next cheapest one was up for £2000.

Bearing in mind mines road legal, as was the £2000 one, guessing yours wasnt Razz

WR was Road Registered but was always SORN'd (I never like to ride my enduro bikes on road)

The prices I sell my bikes at are realistic - they have been used for what they were intended, to race.

Used bike prices in the UK are ridiculously inflated.

It's rude to ask that.let's just say I'm not going to lose money on it. Off to a big scrap yard this week coming so this little baby will be getting some new(ish) parts.

If you got it cheap then fair play!

Do it up a bit and enjoy it mate !

Would have the cylinder off if you say the compression is low and have a good look at the condition of the bore. As long as the cylinder wall isn't scratched, they don't seem to wear much at all, so a new piston kit would probably bring the compression back up.

Bike is for sale as is, due to new work commitments.

Any reasonable offer will be considered.
