40 mile trip today... mostly spent above 60mph, it was about -4 or something lol.

My fingertips feel burnt it's hard to type even!

Anyone else been out in the weather today? It's the coldest this year for sure lol.

Yep froze my hands and arse off travelling to uni, loads of roadworks on the A66 so lots of clutch control how fun that was oh and only had 6 psi in back tyre so ended up bolt upright around several roundabouts (slow puncture and forgot to pump it up this morning in a rush Rolling Eyes).

After coming back from uni had a really good ride out with a few mates roads have been in the best condition for a while around here plus fairly good visibility, made the most of it cos snow hitting the North East tomorrow right on my week off as well.

I've been doing 30 miles each way every day this week commuting, most of which is on NSL dual carriageways... The easterly wind earlier in the week was nasty but the air was so dry that there was no frost or ice at all - fantastic! I'm glad it waited until today to snow. Winter gloves and bar muffs have been keeping the worst away from my fingers, but the cold eventually starts to get through during the last 10 mins or so of the ride. Nowhere near as bad without the muffs though. Thumbs Up

I do 30 miles a day commuting to uni too.

Thankfully it's only a 30-40mph route, the windchill is devilishly slappy cheeky.

Riding in 30 degree temps are kinda fun but still very tensing being so cold.

Dropped the monster off for a service and to get the front sprocket changed this morning. Had to stop on the way to warm my hands up, bloody freezing out there, not particuarly looking forward to the ride back...

Too and from work last night. I had the base layers from this thread. Craghoppers shirt over the top, jeans over the bottoms, for extra warmth I had a fleecy top and neck tube. Then on top of all that I had my textiles top and bottoms.

Only thing that got cold was my finger tips. On the way home around half 12 last night it was a little bracing on the neck, the neck tube was letting a little cold in but doing motorway ( Wink ) speeds home I was fine.

Something to be said for thermal longjohns (Or short johns because I'm short)
