Firstly, Hello!
Been reading on this forum for the last couple of weeks, but never made an account as I didn't have a bike, so thought it would be best to wait until I get my bike.

Now, I have my CBT tomorrow, and its raining (oh joy) any advice for that?? I'm using their bike (because I imagine i'll spend more time on the floor than on the actual bike).

The bike in question, I have just been told, is a Yamaha MBK F1 Nitro in the jaguar paint scheme (green top, white bottom) And apparently its not in the best condition (she got it for £400, as opposed to the usual £1'000)

So, firstly, decent bike? Or am i going to look like a lime coloured Chav?
And any advice for the CBT in the wet?

Oh and by the way - thanks for the forum, it makes a interesting read!

Wrap up with lots of warm layers and if you have a waterproof top then wear that. Your going to get wet but riding in the rain is a good taster to biking.

Wear the obligatory 3 stripes then yes, you will look like a chav on the scoot.

Bit of advice I can offer is if you don't want to be seen as a chav don't go dressed as one, wearing some decent boots would be a good start. First impression counts and will show as the day goes on.

Other advice is relax and enjoy its a learning experience you may make mistakes you probably will but everyone had to start off at the bottom and work to the top Wink

Get yourself some waterproof gear, any waterproof gear. Being cold and wet will make it hard to concentrate and will give you some bad memories of the day. Gear makes a huge difference to your enjoyment.
