Service history?

Have its tits been ragged off for those 40k miles?

Or was it pampered?

Even if the 40k is true, it will be very very tired.
I do hope you aren't going to be paying more than 600 for it with FULL tax and test.

Why not fix your bros properly?

Hell you can have my fully working XJ600 with 8 months T+T for 450, I'll even show you how to ride it Razz

That statement is just bollocks.
As long as it's been serviced it will be fine, if it hasn't it will be screwed.

Age is nothing if it's maintained and serviced.

If it helps, (not for sale) I got a 1991 CBR 600 F with 42k on the clock. I bought it 5 years ago with 22k on the clock. It has full service history, no accidents, mint bike.

With it being serviced and looked after I wouldn't say 42k miles is tired :\

I'd happily buy it if I knew the history and it looked clean, you wouldn't think mine has done the milage or has been abused, they are out there.....

Haha has been posting about having no money to buy milk to put in his coffee, so I gather his budget will be very low. He lives in deal/dover way, which doesn't seem to have a happy medium between pristine and fucked vehicles.
If it has been properly maintained then yeah, obviously it won't be tired. But I think that's unlikey for the amount of money he will be looking to spend. He didn't say in the first post that it's had a refurb on the shock, or recently changed fork oil. Or brake fluids, or coolant.

Based on the above evidence I shall stick to my original statement Very Happy
