At uni i had an exam on Hardware, the paper was on everything from logic gates, memory address decoders, micro controller design, floating point units, to sensors and servos. A non IT person asked what my exam was on and i told him it was hardware. "Is that like printers and stuff?" was his reply. Rolling Eyes

"You do computers, fix my wifi" Is another common one. I do a PhD in Biomechatronics, I'm more qualified to perform brain surgery than i am to fix your fucking wifi! Laughing

So yes it's true, everyone does think every IT person provides first line support Crying or Very sad
