We've had a member on GJ's join, and post asking people to look at this website.

I gave my opinion about how I used to make idiotic videos like that.

His site

https://www.zyworld.com/yzf_R1/Page1.htm

After a bit of slating from GJ's he decided to get offensive with quotes like
That’s what I thought as well Shilly, I’m no slouch on a sports bike but on any busy road trying to keep up with the lads can prove to be somewhat problematical to say the least, you’ve got to know your engine power and braking ability down to the last millimetre.

I wouldn’t advocate any rider attempt to be the third man and keep up no matter what!

Thanks for that Ollie, but nearly all the Exeter and Plymouth lads have stopped riding over the past 18 months, my R1 has gone, sold last year cos one of my pals went under a horse box and got hurt real bad, he was good too, the secret to close combat riding is knowing the ability of those about you, study some of the vids more careful and you’ll see some of the lads sticking out their right foot telling the rider behind all is clear on the blind side, so yeh, you gotta know your pal in front.

Here you go lads, I can tell your enjoying the vids by your responses here, and just marvelling at the way these boys ride they are good aren’t they, ‘weekend warriors’ indeed!

WARNING if you are of a nervous disposition or just hate to see the lads enjoying themselves, don’t bother watching these either.

https://s284.photobucket.com/albums/ll30/thegrimreaper_album36/?action=view¤t=eighteighteight.mp4

Yes indeed Mr Copy Cat, had lots of off's in my time, one real bad one, 7 plates in my face, 2 in my arms, but its the off's that make the rider, I'm always a bit wary about riding out with bikers who have yet to experience the more painful side of biking.
Apart from the poor video quality, what's your opinion?

Do you not agree that he has skills at "Combat riding" or simply a troll?

i'm ready for a flaming here, but i think in places he is riding like an absolute prick. he deserves his 'battle scars' if i'm honest.

just my 2p

Sounds like a bit of a knob to me. Nothing particularly impressive about the videos either tbh.

Couldn't do the first link on my phone, but I was only impressed by the skills once in the other 2 vids. Anyone can twist a throttle...

From their vids there was nothing I couldn't do so they're definitely not skillful as I'm crap Smile

you can tell he is overtaking to keep with the pack and not thinking for himself which leads to a few dodgy moves.

the thing i dont understand is, why does he keep overtaking the other guys in traffic when it's obvious hes the slower rider there and they just fly back past him as soon as there is a corner.

from what i have seen i would never go out for a ride with that guy, he's a liability Laughing

Now I never watched any of your videos because basically I don't really give a fuck how you ride but if you rode like that you are shit. That was some of the slowest bad riding I have ever seen. In fact I can pretty much promise you that MrJoolz rides faster and smoother than that on his commute into work each day and he is no expert rider, just a commuter.
Seriously, anyone who thinks that was good or actually rides like that needs a reality check. Slow and shit all in one, that takes some work. Thumbs Up

A lot of these videos of people showing off on the road are based more around just having the balls (or stupidity) to take your life in your hands by just going extremely fast on straightish roads and when filtering etc., rather than being especially skillful in terms of actual corner speeds and lean angles.

Those videos had neither though, bit disappointing really...

Agree with all of the above. If you feel the need to ride like this then do it with people who feel the same and don't allow 'tag-alongs' to try and keep up with you and ultimately put them in extreme danger in trying to keep up.

Agree with this, surely public roads aren't the place for this. Only p*sses off other people on the road, he obviously doesn't give a sh*t if he hits a car head on & kills/injures whoever might be driving....Someones other half, son, daugther......Sorry, don't see the point in riding like this amongst other road users. I saw this posted on GJ earlier too, I watched a bit of his first video and made a mental note to never ever be on the same stretch of road as him or his mates. Poor road sense and some bad decisions, not doing himself or other riders any favours IMO.

I ride with two mates and always go third man because I can keep up, but also know when not to try. It also helps that we all have autocom to let each other know what's going on.

The TL:DW is:

It was a straight line hero cutting up cars, overtaking on blind bends, overtaking towards oncoming traffic, past junctions, taking corners slowly before pinning it like a noob and just generally riding like a complete and utter nonce.

All the while other nonce pots were storming past him and riding like retards as he played catch me up.
