This isn't for a bike but my generator so I hope you lot don't mind. I have an Aldi special generator, it does what I need it to do. The problem with it is it's fuel tap. It leaks, poor quality is the main reason. It drips through the tap and rubber gasket.

I was wondering, if I was to put a bike tap on it would it matter what size the tap was? It is gravity fed and I was going to use the fuel pipe it came with if I could. It is only to start stop the fuel flow. At the moment I can't leave fuel in the tank of the unit as it leaks out.

If the flow rate is the same, it should work. I can't see why not?

Using a bike one should be fine.

You could possibly use a pretty beefy one from something else if you are worried about flow rate.

I was thinking that having a greater flow wouldn't harm things and it would be the carb that sorted it all out.
