hi all.im changing a clutch for a friend on a e36 bmw 1.8.after lots of struggling iv got the prop shaft off,the gear linkage off,the mount and all the bolts holding it on.iv been wriggling it and it has come off about 8mm but wont come any furthur.with it being a transverse engine its a bloody nightmare trying to see the top to see if anything else is holding it on.just wondering if anyone has done one of these before.iv spent another 10 mins checking for more bolts but i cant find any more.there was only 2 on the starter motor and from previous experience i would have thought there would be 3-4.its a manual and its the non air-con model.oh and its the 3 series coupe.any help would be great.
that is all

Not done it myself, but I'd be asking on here: https://www.e36coupe.com/forum/index.php - where there's a reasonable amount of good technical information etc.
