On Tuesday next week (21st February) we're showing I, Superbiker at the cinema as a special show at 7pm. There's a live Interview via satellite (Always fun trying to get the sound in sync on that, lol) then a pre recorded film/presentation bit.
Anyone planning to go to that out of interest? Last year we had the TT on and it sold out.
I know when I watched Senna it was awesome as the sound quality (at the Scunthorpe site anyway) is really good.

P.S. Looks like they have a website about it https://www.isuperbiker.com/ |

As the whole cinema industry is going digital now (computers replacing actual 35mm film) we'll get a lot more of these 'specials' as it costs next to nothing to distribute it to a load of cinemas now compared to 35mm which cost £3000-6000 per print (one or more per cinema) as they just stick it on a reusable hard drive. There are some good 'specials' and then the crap low budget money makers.
I may be overly cynical as my entire career has vanished thanks to digital cinema but cinema has gone downhill bigtime over the last 6 years. We have half the attendance figures on average now compared 2006 yet the prices keep going up and up. Luckily I don't pay to watch films yet and even get paid to watch them sometimes I absolutely love my job and am gutted I'm being made redundant.

P.S. I didn't mean my original post to seem like spam, I was just wondering peoples opinions. Sorry. |
