All black (as you can see)
Stolen 17/02/12
Woke up today with my step dad telling me the bad news. My hole shed has been ripped apart. I thinking it was stolen to order as thats the only thing they took and its the hardest to take.
They have pushed my XT125X over to get to it. It had a massive lock on the back wheel so im guessing there was more than 2 people as they would have to lift the bike out.
It has been stolen in the Grays/Stifford Clays area. If you hear anything please let me know. Im guessing it going to be sold as parts, im going to my local MX track to put up a stolen poster as a few stolen bike do turn up at the track.
My Beloved CRF has gone

My condelances. Gumtree usually heralds stolen stuff, more so than ebay. Local ones without pictures are what you want to look out for. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. Without any hyperbole or joking around, I would happily chop the hands off of the thieving subhuman vermin that took it.
Sorry to hear this, and I hope you get it back (plus some payback). ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Bastards.
Hope it turns up, if they didn't take the XT then I guess it eliminates 'kids' nicking it for a joyride. Still a pisser eitherway. |

How well was the XT locked up? Don't be surprised if they make a return visit to take that one as well. You should have locked the front of the CRF, it's easier to lift the the rear of a bike than the front. Two people could easily have done it; one person to hold the back end off the ground and one to push. They probably broke the steering lock but they could also have put the front end onto a trolley.
Make sure the XT is very well secured, it's not uncommon for thieves to come back the next night to finish the job or they'll mention it to their scumbag mates and let them have a go. You have been warned. |

Might be an idea to re-think your security as they'll have an idea of what to expect if they do make a return visit. At the last place we lived (on a sh*thole estate) I had a 50cc scoot nicked whilst we were away visiting family, what was left of it was recovered. Got another scoot and they made 5 attempts over the course of 8 months to steal it, each time I improvised different ways of securing the scoot and shed. The shed door hinges had allen bolts with nylock nuts covered in steal plate which was also secured with allen bolts & nylock nuts (they had unscrewed the door hinges on a previous attempt). I also covered the clasps with a steel covering so they couldn't get at the padlocks with bolt croppers.
I found using a shed alarm was effective, not overly expensive (around £20). After the alarm went in the scoot stay put despite them still having a go, I moved the position of the alarm after each attempt & covered it by securing a metal shopping basket over it so they couldn't smash it or tear it off the wall.
Basically look at whatever security you've got and think of yourself as the thief, how will you go about getting past the security? That's basically what I had to do, securing the hinges hadn't occurred until I came out one morning to find one of the doors being held on by the clasps attached to the other door (twin door shed).
What pee'd me off more was that I wanted to move up to a bike but I got sick of them break ins, each time they tried I had to pay out for anything that had been damaged & there's no point in buying cheap padlocks and so on.
I sold the scoot and went back to having a car, we moved house. The area is great, the guy next door owns a 600 Fazer and that's left without a chain throught the frame/wheel and he's had no issues in 5 years of living here. I still put mine in a big shed at night with a good level of security for piece of mind.
Seriously though, look at your security from the point of view of the thief and try and improve on what you've got. It's alot of ache I admit but sadly needs to be done. |

I'll keep an eye out down this way, I'll steal it if I see it.
Shit news mate, can't believe there was no alarms or anything though...I'd definitely have some form of alarm on the XT at least
Keep a watchful eye, set up some pots and pans to make some noise when they open the door. |

What a pisser! Gutted for you.
Loads of good advice above re. securing the XT. Get it done.
