Now I'm settled into work and the bank have sorted themselves out...

its time to repair this.

I'll update this tomorrow with a photo of "how it stands" and slowly update whats going on with Terry's rebuild..

Will require name change as Terry doesn't suit him anymore Wink

Either way the bike currently looks like this with a flat tyre on the rear

I think the best thing you can do with that at this point is put an enduro headlight on it and seriously downgear it. Then it looks like it's half there for a reason Laughing

If you need a hand with any work, I'm not far away.

Looks cool, that's a proper 'rat' bike. doing the bare minimum to keep it going.
Carry on! Just do what it needs to get back on the road and ride it, even if it is caked in tape and has a hilarious rear seat. absolutely ace bike, i'd ride that!

That bike is a thing of beauty. Give it a couple of years and the rate things are going my ZZR will look similar...

Are you doing the right thing and just getting it road legal again and spraying it black?

Well, I started removing stuff after confirmation my order has been sent Mr. Green Tank is off, in my car ready to be prepped and painted Thumbs Up

Here is some gore for you... for some reason, there is lovely mayo sitting in my airbox and my air filter is what most people would call fucked.

Ah well, once you remove the tank, you see a MASSIVE gap, might be handy for mounting new items Shifty Wink

Yep it's moisture mixing with the oil vapor from the breather, blast that bit of foam out with carb cleaner or brake cleaner then forget about it.

On to the can, https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=227633&highlight=stubby

MTFU! If I can do it to one that's welded at both ends then you can do that one! Pro-Tip, Dremel grinding discs are crap and I was faster with a hacksaw with a new blade.

Enjoy the noise Mr. Green Thumbs Up

Fairings? Who said I ordered fairings Laughing

...

Fuck it, its out now. 7-14 days.

Doing the tank first, then spraying the wheels...could possibly keep them orange, but will look amazingly gash.

Will clean the mucky crap off before rebuild + a new air filter shall be needed.

Iain, Its only a 12mm and 14mm spanner to undo, takes about 2 minutes...I might take you up on the offer n use the gun... Laughing
