Bad: they weigh an awful lot for a bike with not much power.

Good: they don't make much power, which can be fun.

I like bikes with low power. But I'd expect a pay off in lower weight. Doesn't have much on your current bike weight wise.

They are pretty flat in terms of power delivery which can actually be quite nice for cruising around town or enjoying the scenery. As said they are heavy but that does make them feel stable.
Depends on what you want out of a bike really, but if you're thinking about after market parts you probably want something faster.

said to have poor fuelling too,

what about a Yamaha mt-03? , cheaper, same engine (with fixed fuelling), lighter if i recall, arguably better looking but hint of motard styling.

Most places list as 175kg for the MT-03. Visordown mentions 191kg wet.

Pretty impressive weight when I've had road legal bikes with similar power weigh in at around 105kg with a smidge of fuel.

I borrowed one from a dealer for a while.

Wasn't fun at all, was very gutless.

Wouldn't want one in my garage Thumbs Up

What other supermoto bikes would you say to consider then??? Have thought about things like the ccm r30 and ktm superduke but what other are there? Got around £3.5k to spend.

As to the MT03, had a look at one today whilst out and not really my thing to be fair.

Anything 400+

The DRZ is a standard one, people argue its under powered though.

Binge had a YZ450F, that was a frigging animal.

KTM 625/690 SMs?

Superduke 990 is a fucking beast Laughing Genuinely I thoroughly enjoyed the 4 hours I spent on that. Amazing bike Thumbs Up

KTM 690SM might get just in budget.
BMW G650XMoto, Husky SM610.
DRZ400SM is a step down in power, but a good chunk less weight.

Superduke may be not far of the weight of the Yamaha, but isn't really a 'supermoto', nevermind 'hypermoto' as Ducati calls their's. A lot more power.
