From full i would hit reserve at about 140 miles, ridden normally, then about another 20 miles on reserve.

Ridden hard as low as 100 to reserve.

My friend had a J2. Not sure of the differences between the G and J motors. Either way, he can get up to 60mpg on long runs when being a saint and 40 if he's being enthusiastic. The bike has only done 20000 miles, is completely stock (except a brake caliper swap) and has been serviced immaculately.

https://www.fuelly.com/motorcycle/kawasaki/zx-6r might be of help. Some people seem to get 40mpg, one guy with 55 average.

I'd say take 50mpg as a max as you will ride differently to someone else who is getting 60mpg.

I get 30mpg if I rag the 750, 35mpg if I'm sensible.

Temptation to rag it is always there Laughing

I have a 1999 G2. I can't say I have calculated the MPG so far, but I do try to ride it sensibly when I can. I'd expect anything up to 50 from what I've monitored so far, but on the more enthusiastic runs I'd expect way down by the 30's. To be fair, I'm sure you could get 60 out of it of you were truly careful, but it's not really a bike designed for the MPG watcher.

To be honest the only time I've actually seen him get about 60 was when we took a ride to the west country last spring. I was on my Bros so he was hardly stressing his bike out keeping up.

Oh I wasn't disputing it. I hope I can get 60 out of mine, especially pootling along at cruising speeds. But it's hard not to go a bit crazy with acceleration on a ZX6 Laughing
