Fake draft cheque.

It'll clear, you pay the 'shipper' their bit and then the whole amount gets extracted from your account due to the dodgy cheque in the next few weeks

Overpayment, banker's draft, shipping company, return of excess monies...seems totally legit to me Thinking People are so paranoid these days Rolling Eyes

Just go ahead and send him the personal details he's requested and enjoy the extra money he's willing to pay without having seen the bike.

Oh, and welcome to the internet circa 2001.

Tell him that the bike's very special to you, and you have to be sure it's going to a responsible owner. Then ask him to take his picture holding up a copy of the bike club owner's emblem which reads in big letters T.W.A.T.

If you are going to turn your nose up at a great offer like that you are never going to sell it.
Take the banker's draft.

Scam, steer clear and ignore it.

or

At the very most tell them you'll only accept cash, so if they want it that badly they will have to arrange a freind/relative to pick the bike up and pay cash. Thumb each note under UV light, make them sign a bill of sale on behalf, smile and wave. Then they can sort payment out with mr Dublin.

But it might open the flood gates of hot scummy scamming lava sending an email back, use another scam/phish infected email!

The seller claims to live in Ireland. But has a limited grasp of the english language.

I know the first language of Ireland, is actually Irish. However I've lived/worked there and have family over and have never met anyone who could actually converse in anything but English.

It's a scam, if anyone was interested they would phone you up.

My mate got one with his car, said that they worked on cruise liners and wouldn't be in port for a few weeks.
