Much better than a 'wrong' trike, but might as well get one with two wheels at the back and the bike engine in the front - more fun-time possibilities Smile.

I was talking about one with two wheels at the front too. And I can assure you it does handle very nicely Wink.

But yes, quite agree; thus comments about a "wrong" trike.

This was for sale last year. Spotted in the services on the M61.

Strangely alluring in a perverted way.

I wouldn't go for the trike in the OP, if that bodywork is sheet steel then it's going to be no lightweight and I'd be wary of the gearbox letting go. The ZZR motor is a nice engine but most of the people who use them in kit cars seem to spend an inordinate amount of time repairing them.

There were various 3 wheel kit cars where you plugged the back of a bike in.

In some cases you could 'unplug' the bike to use it as a normal bike again.

I doubt it, personally.

Agreed, 90% of kits are 90% complete 90% of the time (I was one of the 90% of kit builders who got to that stage...).

Without an SVA it's just a pile of bits. There's no guarantee - or likelihood - that it will actually be usable in any meaningful sense on a UK road.

But if money were no object and I could afford a glamorous assistant to ride along and push it backwards as necessary, then sure, it looks ace.

The trike in the ad just appears to be a very bad knock off of this.

That's a roadworthy trike.

Cheers,

ah a poor mans t-rex Very Happy ..... no your not wrong for wanting one
there was one with a busa engine that came to knot end once and that thing was fecking quick as it could corner so fast Razz also it was much better on the brakes than any of the bikes that were on the lanes that day if i could afford the insurance on one id be interested (this is the kicker as the owner said his was £1900 with 9 years ncb)

i raced three absolute pricks on those ugly overweight quad bikes when i was on my l plate theyre slow as fuck and looked like they were gonna roll over on every corner

easy to tell the riders were pricks ..........they kept riding on the pavement had no kit other than jeans and hoodies on no helmets (i know its legal to ride a quad with no lid but only a prick does it on the roads) kept cutting people up not indicating for corners

there are a few decent quads that work ok...ish on the road the yamaha raptor for instance

the ones you linked to are however terrible and must be built worse than a chinese bike lol as the ones i seen all showed signs of rust even through they were 2010 plate (seen them dduring2010 blackpool illuminations)
i would say steer clear Smile

Its always so easy to tell when the riders are pricks!
Riding on the pavement is definitely the clearest mark.
Don't understand the fascination with using quads twattishly in built up areas, can see the use factor for a farmer but don't get the supposed 'cool' of riding one in town.
