Anyone know if their bringing out a 7/8 inch version, and whether a micro broadband 3g sim, can work in a normal dongle if you put it in a sim adaptor ?

Steve jobs said there is no point at all to an ipad smaller than the current ones have been. He said whoever sold one better supply their users with sand paper so that they could sand their fingers down to be able to use it.

Apple tell you what product you want and how you should use it, don't expect that to change any time soon.

It's swung at the moment; evidence both ways.

https://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970204795304577222354104574994.html

There arguments against it such as:
- It creates more work for developers
- Steve Jobs was against anything smaller than 9.7"

And on the other hand:
- It would allow them to enter the smaller-tablet market
- They would (probably) be cheaper
- It could be carried around better, in a jacket pocket or something

The article I linked to above suggests that they are (unofficially) testing it. But they may still decide either way.

I read another article about it somewhere, I can't remember where though Thumbs Down

I read about a large order with their chinese makers, that supposedly included a smaller screen, but whilst not set in stone, the recent chinese lawsuit may mean anything as regards their future in china as a market and maker.

They should just call their pads sold their - Chinapads ! Thumbs Up Smile
