2001 1200, looks like it's had a hard life.

Unknown mileage
Motor in unknown state of tune, runs quiet and like a scalded dog though
Stage 3 dyno jet
K&N pod filters
cam to cam oilway mod
rearset risers
Renthal Drag bars
comprehensive instrumentation
K6 Gixxer front end
K5 Radial brakes
back jacked up
custom drag hump seat
shit 'streetfighter' front end which couldn't light up the inside of a small cardboard box let alone a road
awesome brake reservoir mod
straight through ART can
oil cooler functions as the steering stop
quick release seat mod Wink
polished engine cases
wheels various colours

Handles surprisingly nice, brakes are awesome, throttle may as well be an on/off switch with *foTehLULZ* stamped on it. Runs like a dog low down, clears up past 1/6th throttle and becomes a rocket ship. Front end is well light, and the bike will bang you in the chin at WOT if it finds the grip in anything less than 4th gear. As far as I can tell, stock gearing too.

Bike has sat at the back of a mates garage for a long time, he didn't use it so I bought it from him to use as an every day bike. Got some cleaning and tidying to do on it, initial will be lights! Needs a respray and the wheels powdercoating properly, the whole bike needs a strip and a clean. That and the HUUUGGGEEEE rear end sorting out. My arse isn't that big!

Not had a carbed bike in a long time, would getting the carbs balanced help with the roughness down low? I know having the dynojet kit with the pod filters won't help especially in the cold but is balancing still applicable?

I'll make necessary changes to get it a bit more useable for now. I need to sell my Triple so this will be everyday transport from here on out. Laughing

Given how slippery/uncomfortable Bandit seats can get, that one looks pretty good by comparison Laughing
Definitely agree on the other bits, though.

Had a rethink on the FT35. I still want one, but I'm presently young and stupid.

I'm going to build a boosted Yamaha MT-01.

Supercharged most likely.

I have sold my Buell, and the CBR250RR and I have bought this as a cheap get around bike so I can sell my Triple. This will free up the funds for an MT-01 and a TTS supercharger.

Fit a decent speedo unit, I like the vapour on my KTM. Fit a single round headlight powder-coat the wheels. It should be all good then. Thumbs Up

Going to go with black centers and polished outers for the rims, headlight will probably be a dominator dual style, matt black with a flyscreen to hide wiring/clocks.

Bike also has a belly pan but it is in poor nick, going to get it repaired and resprayed with the rest of the bike when it's done.

Presently having a chat with TrailTech over what would be the best route to go with the clocks. Thumbs Up

Thought you said you wanted to see where you were going? Dominators are astronomically CRAP!

How about a pair of Halogen projectors, Stacked for something a bit different, he had HID's but binned them because they kept either not working at all or sticking on main beam.
