 |

I've just come back from visiting the only three motorbike shops in my city. I tried on almost every single glove in all three shops and about 80% of all the gloves that fitted, the thumbs were too long. Anyway I found the PERFECT glove, the fingers/thumbs were the perfect length and they felt as though they were already worn in, they were so comfy. I was a little bit sceptical about the amount of protection, because they weren't leather, so when the shop assistant approached me I asked are these road gloves? He said yes they are and explained how in a low speed off, your hands are more likely to get damaged because you have time to put your hands out, whereas in a high speed off you don't. Anyway happy as larry after finding the perfect gloves, I go home do a bit of research and find out they're off road gloves! These are the gloves.
So scrapping the idea of wearing off road gloves for on road, can anyone recommend me any gloves were the thumbs/fingers aren't too long. Looking to spend £40-£70 and they must have good feel.

Who cares what the marketers say they are for..
If you feel they are appropriate for your means and you like them and have adequate protection, just wear them... Dont get bogged down because theyre officially 'offroad' gloves and you wont be using them offroad... If they work they work
I just tried on some leather gloves and some armoured racing type ones...utterly uncomfortable, restricted my hand movements but were very protective, but id rather have the mobility.
I find riding without gloves gives me a much better feel for the bike, but i know in a lowspeed off as you say, itll be palms straight to the floor.....
I don't know makes and stuff, I would have just said try some and find some you like and use them.. but you did that and still aren't happy ____________________ Fzr-600 1999
