So, my inability to make a decision strikes again.

Not really keen on the graphics they do so at least I've narrowed it down to 2 Laughing

Has anyone ever noticed a difference in the 'safety' of say the white colour as opposed to black?

What do you have / would you pick? Razz

I have a shoei qwest in black therefore I voted black. Black is the colour of sophistication. It's sleek and mysterious.

White is the colour the police use as it makes them more visible.

Nothing to do with visibility or anything, I just think the white looks better. Why else would stormtroopers wear white?

Voted white on this basis.

White reflects heat.
Black absorbs heat....

Get a hot day, which would you prefer on your head.

White or black on your head, makes no diffrence to SMIDSY..... As no matter what you wear they will still not see you....

If you choose to encase your head in plastic, polystyrene and nylon, on a hot day your head will get hot, doesn't make one damn bit of difference what colour the outside is; if wearing black makes you hot, why don't Bedouins wear exclusively white?

I haven't bothered to vote because there isn't a "Makes no odds" button, because it really doesn't.

Wear a white one and a hi viz jacket and everyone will think you are a cop and move over for you! But on a narrow road they will drop down to 30mph and you can't get past! White is safer/black is 'cooler'. Hard choice!

Black... the XR1100 makes it look like you've got a Biorb aquarium plonked on your head.

https://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/378672_10150504829315712_500990711_10701345_554093089_n.jpg

Mine was originally white... hated it because it got chipped and scratched. So i took a sharpie pen to it.

Then resprayed it black

to suit my leathers

Tis a standard dark tint (70%) IIRC from race visors.

The peripheral vision on the XR1100 is amazing, but physically, the lid feels huge because it's elongated at the rear due to the integrated spoiler.

Cheers man, you get a free choice of visor on lids direct so hopefully I can make do with a shoei 'dark smoke' one, definately not 70% but hey ho!

It fits me well and I noticed the large vision field, felt great Very Happy

ps nothing wrong with a big helmet.

No purple option?

Remember your 7 times more likely to get pulled by the fuzz with a black helmet......just saying.

Shifty Razz

Blergh. Just thought i'd add I hate monster's advertising campaign and the way people lap it up.

Think for yourselves for godsake
Besides, relentless juiced is much nicer than monster's thick bile

I think the black one looks better.

I think the visors ruin them both.

I can't pass judgement when i've got the cheapest helmet I could find that looks like i'm wearing a blob on my head, and the press stud has broke and the visor is cracked form just lifting it up and down

Best Thumbs Up
