as bacon has said, tourist trophy is basically gran turismo but with bikes, awesome. I'd LOVE them to add a bike back to GT5 though, and maybe allows cars and bikes on track at the same time. Then maybe you could do a fair topgear track bike vs car!

I like the SBK series of games, they've been good if you stick to sim mode and turn off all the assists, it has a decent feeling of weight and traction. MotoGP 10/11 is quite awful, although I have played it quite a lot. On Sim mode it's 'ok' but is a bit light on the steering but once you've used to it, it's good fun. It's not on the PC though, but SBK is and looking on play it's £7.13 for a proper copy!

Waste of time and money. PGR4 is the best and the SBK series is okay too

PGR4? Really? I loved the bikes, but it seemed a bit arcade like tbh, unless i missed the sim settings.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

That's the idea isnt it?

I've never understood why somebody would want to play an actual simulator of a motorbike (or any vehicle infact). As it's still not real!

Just get your bike out, and go for a hoon! Wink

It was more the OP asked for a sim. I find stuff like GT5 vastly different to games like Need for Speed/Sega Rally etc.

It's not to say they're not enjoyable, but they're different. I might be sad but I quite enjoy firing up GT5, picking a track and then fiddling with settings to get a car perfect for that track.

gp-bikes

gp-bikes.com - Currently unavailable for download on the site as new version being made but is probably the most realistic, might be able to find a copy elsewhere..

GP500 - Well old now, but can be picked up 2nd hand and has plenty of mods available for it

Anything that has Super Mario in it will be fine.

WSB for XBocks is cool.

TT Superbikes - it's the official IOM TT game. It's frickin awesome! You can pretend to be a real man racing, although the bigger bikes are a bit unforgiving. You can eventually unlock (or use a cheat code) to get the Mad Sunday mode. Racing the course against time, but with traffic on the roads - it's frickin mental!

I car sims like Forza 4 but pretty much all the bike games that try to be sims are poor and quite boring. I enjoyed SBK X but it's no where near as fun as PGR. Plus PGR has a good selection road bikes from sports to nekids, good graphics, good sounds, wheelie, stopie, burnout etc and you can also race against cars!

I feel like playing it now Laughing

I really wish they would make another one!

PGR4 was ok, but the bikes where way to twitchy and to easy to turn etc. Test Drive Unlimited always felt like the bike handled fairly close to real, with a few tweaks, only ever played the demo though.

Waiting for them to release the DLC pack for Test Drive 2 which will have the bikes in it. Desmosedici will be in it!

Test Drive is an awesome game for just messing about, you have the whole of Oahu to drive around including off road trails

Because I can get baked and play a game, not so much an actual motorbike Mr. Green

And the key word was simulation!
I want something realistic with gears, not ridiculous burnout type games, i'm talking your Race 07, GTR, Arma 2, simulation!

my thought is they don't exist... Wouldnt mind a motorbike version of a G27 though!

Shit's cash Thumbs Up

Thanks though, i'll check some of these out Wink

Rolling Eyes

It was called Road Rash, and it originated on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive.
