I was just browsing eBay for a second bike and came across.....

This.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1975-Kawasaki-H2C-750-Mach-IV-Aardvark-MONSTER-Special-Un-registered-US-Import-/330690908403?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item4cfeb6d0f3#ht_2285wt_1270

At first glance I thought it had been involved in some sort of accident.

Said accident appears to have been at the factory.

You think the owner rear ended one then sold the resulting mess to DK?

That 'bike' is obviously the brainchild of some yank customiser on a really bad acid trip, undoubtedly the ugliest bike i've seen in many years. Having said that, if the price stays reasonable it might be worth a punt for the engine alone as H2's are making serious money these days.

Buy it, remove the fairing, sell it. Instant profit.

Looks bloody dangerous with that nose..imagine a driver glancing quickly in his rear mirror and seeing the nose 'ah its a car in the distance plenty of braking room', *brakes hard*

I am amazed how they got it to look like an actual Aardvark, or was it the other way around?

I think its cool, looks quite Blade Runner/Cyber punk but I wouldn't buy it (except for the front fairing).

Personally I find nearly all bikes produced since 1995 should be killed with fire. For example Gxsr, CB1000F and other similar bikes the list goes on should be incinerated etc. etc.

Each to their own I suppose.

surely that nose is going to play havok with steering, a cross wind would make for interesting riding. how about a tank slapper?

Only bit i like is the engine, i'd consider it just for that, then sell or make lampshades out of the rest.

mixed feelings about the white pipes.

wonder what they'll take for it.

I doubt that the nose cone or any other mod would make the handling of the H2 any worse than it already was, it was absolutely terrible in stock form. The H2's predecessor the 500cc H1 had notoriously bad handling but kawasaki failed to improve it when the H2 was introduced. The H2 was the fastest production bike of it's time, not that fast by todays standards, but the accelleration was absolutely obscene when it hit the power band. Unfortunately the poor handling and braking combined with such a potent power plant resulted in a bike that was downright dangerous on the road. I had a H2 briefly in 1974, great for straight lining as it could piss all over anything else around at the time, but a definite ring crimper on the corners.
For all their faults I wouldn't mind having a couple of them sat in the garage now!

I would like some of what the designer/builder of that bike has been taking.

Thumbs Up

Come on you guys stop the kidding.
It's obvious that's an artist's impression/CGI of a concept bike from inside covdude's head.

Nah.. That's an exhaust made out of Poly-Pipe.
If you drop it you can just glue new piece from B&Q in.

Definitely not worth much as there doesn't seem to be much of the original bike there.
A good complete original H2 will fetch around £6k these days with a showroom standard restoration going for £8 - 10K.
Like I said, I wouldn't mind having a few in the garage right now!
