Anyone want to come to Morocco, April 2012?

Tatter, Silky and me are off to Morocco in April. Anyone else want to come with us?

It will be a quick blast down through Spain and into Morocco then a while exploring heading down to the Sahara and playing in the dunes.

Obviously there will be lots of offloading so if you're on an R1 things may be tricky, I'll be on a XT600E, Tatters on a BMW G650XC and Silky will hopefully be on a KTM 690, just so you get the idea of the types of bikes.

The trip will be 2 weeks long.

I'm going on holiday to Morocco March/April with the girlfriend as it happens, I doubt she'd be too happy if we rocked up to the Sahara and I disappeared off on a bike for a few days though Laughing

Just in case anyone is interested, it looks likely we'll be catching the ferry to Spain from Portsmouth on the 6th April which is Good Friday and returning to Portsmouth on the ferry on the 21st.

Will be fine.

It was regularly 37c on my many visits to Croatia, and 45c when I was in Athens.

I usually go the very last week in August, so wouldn't get to Morocco until September, as i'd be chilling in Spain for a while.

EDIT: looking at Essaouira the average high in August is only just over 20c

Sounds intresting, how many miles a day are you planning, what are the rough costs, hotels or camping? need to sort 690 with new tyres etc and some lugage, but may be up for it?

I can recommend it as you have so many different roads surfaces to play on. I particular like it when you are going round a perfect bend at full chat to find that mid bend they ran out of tarmac for a hundred yards and its bare rock till you meet the point where the guys building the road from the other side also ran out of tarmac.
