Evening all, my new bike has been tagged with datatag at some point in the past. Do I need to re-register or what? Not sure how it works?

I think you have to pay £25ish & you have to send parts of the datatag paperwork off, the previous owner also a part (bit like when you send a log book off).

Have you got a registration card or something? Normally if you provide a customer number you can request a change of information

What you need to do, is contact datatag by phone, give them the datatag number, the bike's registration, make, model and colour, and they will tell you if the datatag is for that bike, or if it the panels and parts on your bike were replaced from a different bike. If your parts are from a different reg bike, then I believe they won't re-register it to a different reg.
If the reg and datatag match, then you need to pay a £15 admin fee and they will update the details. Like mentioned you will need to post off a form as there is no other way they accept, and you should get a letter back in the post about 2 months later confirming the details are updated.
