Although Hahadumballs thread has taken off a bit might as well do the other side as I haven't seen one of these before on here also helps others choosing where to go.

My recommended garages are:

Andys motorcycles
Url:
https://www.andysmotorcycles.com/
Based: Stoke on Trent

Went here for helicoiling to help get my bike back on the road, the bike was picked up 1hour after I phoned up. Extremely peaceful on the phone, delivery men were friendly as well. Ended up paying £30 a helicoil with £20 pick up and £20 delivery which is understandable due to petrol from my address.

Jackhammer Motorcycles
Based: Stoke on Trent

Had to visit this garage just after new year due to me setting up my carbs wrong. This kind garage helped me sort out the carbs which included pick up (dropped me of at university on the way).
Extremely friendly service, fast pickup and sorted out the carbs without any bodged service. Due to me having university all day they even dropped the bike off for free back at my home.

The only place I can really recommend:

Dynamite in Bournemouth

I have taken all three of my bikes there, for varying reasons. They have sorted bigger issues with no fuss, they are quick and very good with their communications. But it's their loyalty to regular customers that I love. They now bring me in to the workshop to show me what they are doing, they have given me free batteries, free time, oiled and lubed up different components when I simply swing by and ask. They are a very approachable bunch who don't mind you simply peeving on their streetfightered R1 Mr. Green

MTC Motorcycles in Reading.

https://www.mtcmotorcycles.co.uk/

Never had anything but A1 excellent service from them. Their labour rates are a tad high, but IMO its well worth the money. If they say they are going to do something they do it, and to the very best possible standard. They rebuilt my second Buell when it was burning loads of oil, and afterwards it went like stink and was 100% reliable (until I crashed it). Bear in mind that I'd had a 10,000 mile Buell before, and the rebuilt one was significantly better. When they service a bike they do little things like lubricating folding pegs and gear linkages etc, no one else I've used has that sort of attention to detail. If your bike is feeling a bit tired, get them to service it and it will feel loads better.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Dave Wicks in Dereham. Very helpful bunch of guys in there. Every time I've needed a part he's sourced it for me. Decent prices as well. When I needed some welding doing, he got it done for me for a few quid cash. Plus going in there means I get to stare at some very pretty enfields and guzzis.

Transit Motorcycles in York. Andy in the upstairs parts counter was an absolute diamond of a man! Always happy to chat about anything and always eager to do everything he can for you. He is the very essence of what customer service should be!

Honda Riders Motors
26 Godman Road
London
SE15 3SZ

Another family business, been around for a good 30 years.

They tend to specialise in smaller stuff and scooters, but they do MOTs and they are super helpful.

Looks a bt of a dump from the outside, but like many of these places, good work is going on within.

This. And the girl that works there is pretty tasty.
