My Nan needs the cables from main breaker to her consumer unit replacing, and the local electricians will only change it if she pays for a new consumer unit too.

I need 1 meter of blue and 1 meter of brown 10mmCSA Cable

I'm a qualified Electrician but dont do any work in domestic so don't have any cable lay around, and it's ludicrous to pay for a reel of this stuff for such a short amount.

Does anybody have any cable that they would be willing to sell me 1m of each?

Would ideally prefer to upgrade cable to 25mmCSA as it should be, not the 10mm like for like so if anybody has that, it would be better?

(Edited for more info)

Warrington, I can collect locally or pay postage.

Just edited post, would ideally like 25mmCSA as I don't believe that Scottish Power was right in leaving it fitted with 10mm.

Yea I got plenty of 25mm blue&brown and 16mm earth not sure how much postage is though.

How many ccts has she got on the db? 10mm seems ridiculous.

Are you changing them from the service head to meter,
meter to CU or KMF to CU

In theory you are effectively breaking the law by cutting the seals on the meter or service head cut-out.

Plus in regards to the tails - you can buy it in meters from screwfix, no need to buy a drum of it.

Scottish Power replaced the cables from the meter to the main 100A breaker, and told her she would need to get her own Electrician in to replace the cables from the 100A breaker to the CU, so that is what I am replacing.

I looked at RS, and tried CEF, didn't think about Screwfix, will give them a look.

Screwfix aren't always cheapest.

I found this outfit sometimes cheaper.

Maybe close by.

Ah right so your basically replacing the tails from
The KMF switch to the board. Fair enough. 10 minute job.

If you draw a blank on finding tails, I got some - just pay postage.
