hi, I took my old/dead battery to a bike shop to buy a replacement. The shop didn't have the same battery with the same code/number on the side, but the chap behind the counter said the one he gave me will do fine. It was the same size, shape etc. I only noticed after fitting it & starting the bike it says 8A on it, not 4A that was on my old one. Will this matter? My bike is a Suzuki EN125, cheers

It'll be fine, it's got roughly twice the capacity of your old one so you've got more in reserve, it's going less than your old one that could cause you problems.

Hi

Assuming both are 12V batteries and you mean 8ah, then it should be fine. You just now have a battery with double the capacity (although it surprises me that you have one with a far higher capacity but which is the same physical size)

All the best

Keith
