I could not believe it when the dickhead steps out the Jag and thinks it wasn't his fault!

Watch it all.. I think the rider handled that fairly well, I'm sure some on here would have slapped him silly, made me angry Laughing

I would have turned the camera off after about 2 minutes, just after capturing enough to incriminate him then I would have beat the living crap out of him.

It wasn't clear why the scooter was between the two lanes on leaving the roundabout - not that the car had any business just forcing past like that.
At best 50-50

Thats what I thought at first until I watched the whole lot. Its a single track and as much as I hate scooters he had every right to be in the middle of his lane which was the only lane. A little further up the road there was solid white lines at each side of the road too. Was a single track.

Looks like there's a line dividing the exit into two lanes.
Maybe just a worn line in the tarmac.
It's very wide, other cars are passing well across when they are stopped.

Yeah. Then on closer look it turns out its broken road surface. Thats what threw me at the start.

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v494/be1ly/road.jpg

Looks like it may well have been double track at one point but that just looks like a screwed road surface. There are loads of them down here like that,

Would a driving instructor (ex or current) overtake an L-plate car at the roundabout exit? Why would you do that to an L-plate scooter, where the rider is far more vulnerable? It was dangerous driving on his behalf, he caused the accident, he should pay. Dozy bastard.

Doesn't matter if it 'looks' like a 2 lane, it isn't, it's single.

Rider did nothing wrong.

Nothing wrong bar getting into an acident with a cager ... forget whos right of way etc, if it's a potential hazard avoid it.

Rider should not be paying out any dola for jag repair, better still would be no collision by avoiding it altogether. Esp nowadays with non fault acidents upping your prenuims.

The jag driver should know better at his age, and not expect an L plater to be ' experienced ' .

What I just noticed is that after the collision the Jag slams his brakes on hoping the rider will run into the back of him, therefore steering a claim straight into the drivers favor as he'll claim he ran into the back of him.

This.

The rider should have called the rozzers and showed them the video.

Jeeee whizz! That scooter is not upto the braking standard of a jag, as soon as he passes the rider, hes anchors away slamming the brakes on. You can tell the scooters brakes have locked and hes sliding, thats why he comes to a stop down the side of the jag...

Rider wasnt in the wrong at all. That jag driver seems to have some kinda vendetta. Single lane exit all the way up the slip road, which is clear later in the video.

So what I said in the other thread...

Yes, the driver is a cock, but:

1. Scootay does move slightly to the right.
2. Scootay moves slightly to the right AFTER he had just done a lifesaver.

Another case of the bike being in the right, but also one where that the rider could have avoided the problem entirely.

Fuck me, it seems I'm in agreement with covdude. Shocked

Should've called the cops. He had the ideal oppertunity to do so when he put the bike back on its stand again. I'd have done it in a shot "Right call the police then.". "Yes. I think I will." *999* "Hello, yes police please."

Tell them you've got a sore leg where he hit you, tell them the other driver is being agressive and you feel in fear/alarm/distress* or tell them you think the other driver may have been drinking because his driving is so erratic.

*Fear, alarm and distress are keywords in antisocial behaviour legislation.
