Up until yesterday when I pulled away my Hornet would start to move at at about 2K rpm.

Yesterday I found that I had to give it about 3-4K top get it move when pulling away and it seems to have lost its "bite" point" Whilst riding the clutch seems fine and I have noticed no change it whilst changing gear.

I have adjusted the cable at the lever but that seems to have made no real change and I am wondering if I'm going to have adjust at the other end as well. If any one has any ideas I would be very grateful.

Could be a slipping clutch. Any change in fuel consumption? is the lever stiffer than before? Does it over rev when accellerating hard?
To test for slipping, put it in 4th, clutch in, start the engine, hold it on the brake and release the clutch slowly while feeding it some gas. If you can release the clutch and it doesnt move or stall you need new plates.

Fuel consumption seems the same and it doesn't seem to over rev when I accelerate hard. Like I said it just seems to happen when pulling away or when moving at very low speed.

I just popped out to the bike and tried putting it in 4th gear and doing what you said and the bike stalled. Though I would be worried if it was the clutch plates as the bike has only done 11.5K
