Anyone playing? Couldn't find anything in the search. You can't all be console users FFS! Laughing

Darth Donkeygobbler, level 50 Sith Assassin (who really should get out more often).

I was thinking about it but experience has taught me never buy an MMO on or near release!

Is it good?

been playing it, its got its problems but its no where near as bad as the whiners on the forums make out.

its good, storylines are great although it does feel a bit isolated. bit single playeresce.

havent got to 50 yet (46 ish) but am enjoying it

Sounds ideal, the one thing that pisses me off about mmo's is other people Laughing Wink How similar is it to KOTOR?

I was thinking about it but need more info before I can commit to an mmo.

From the beta it felt you were a bit disconnected from your char but that may have been lag.

Does it have branching stories?

If its like a star wars skyrim then I am all over it!

The game is very similar to KOTOR but with better graphics and better fight dynamics. You still have your companions and you can establish relationships with them.

If you are looking for a MMO in which you can easily level without needing to be grouped at all times, this will suit you. I have gotten to level 48 pretty much by just doing my class quests, most the planet quests and some space missions.

as for Neorion's point, not really sure what you mean by disconnected. Do you mean while fighting? Some people have complained about delays while fighting but Bioware said they are addressing that soon.

As for being connected to your character as in the story, I think they did a good job through the quests and voice acting. I feel very connected to my character in that aspect.

I am enjoying the game a lot. I do wish they had moved away from skill trees but I understand that would have been a massive change for anyone who started playing MMOs since WOW.

heh. never pld kotor so no idea.

if you basically go through your class storyline and do the space missions etc.. you never need to group up with people and let the group missions go if thats what you prefer.

as i said it does feel like a single player rpg that i sometimes group up with other people to do stuff.

the instances/flashpoints are cool though so worth doing.

seems to have attracted a perhaps older crowd too. dont get any of the whiny kids like you do in wow. everyone i've met so far has been decent

not interested in endgame myself. did that in wow and 2 years of my life disappeared. :/ just happy chatting to mates and going though the different classes' stories Smile

Playing on a US server, Canderous Ordo, as that's where my old SWG guild is.

Once I have a lvl 50 geared and set up there I'm going to make my first 'alt' on an EU pvp server.

Well, my in-game time is almost 9 days! Shocked

It's had some bugs (it's to massive in scope not too) but nothing that's really bothered me. They seem to be addressing them with patch releases, so I can't really complain.

Indeed. I've solo'd most of it. Although it can be fun teaming up in groups I'm glad the game's not reliant on it - especially when (at lvl 50) I'm much further ahead than the majority of people at this point. Try getting a team of 4 together for a quest on Ilum when there's only 5 people on the whole bloody planet! Laughing Go back to Drummond Kaas (for example) and there are 100+ there.

Think I'm gonna start an alt character today, probably a bounty hunter, as I've lost my way a bit now I can't level any further.
