Hello all.

I would scour previous posts but there appears a problem with search results.

Once my CG 125 has warmed up, its difficult to change down gears sometimes, especially between 2nd, 1st and Neutral. Changing up is never a problem.

I do regular oil changes and chain tensioning.

Thanks

The clutch cable maybe needs a tweak of adjustment.
They are a bit of a pig to get just right. There always seem to be a slight bit of drag when set.

Get it on the centre stand, engine warm, at idle, and in 1st then faff about with the cable adjustment. The wheel will probably still turn even when the clutch lever is pulled in (Disengaged) but that seems normal for these machines. It should be able to be stopped with a finger. As long as it's not spinning like a hoowuhr of course. Use the rear brake to slow it down then.
It is a small bike transmission so clearances are minimum.
